But...it MEANS something that he sends well-written messages! It means he's AMAZING! I also hate emoticons!
Jesse and I had this moment the other night where we were like, ooh, new youtube video of Obama! And then we looked at each other and I said, we know that this is the PRESIDENT we're talking about, right? Not a comedian or anything? How dorky is our demographic without our sarcasm for elected officials and The Man?

Maybe I didn't flesh it out enough, but I'm also impressed by little things like that, while at the same time seriously questioning my personal investment in Obama.
